The top ten reasons why venture capitialists have passed on AppleSeed Networks
As promised in the AppleSeed Networks blog post The post formally know as...
here are the top ten reasons the venture capitalist community has passed on AppleSeed Newtorks.

Enjoy!

    1. Despite all your evidence to the contrary, I just don't believe there are over 18 million software developers in the world. Say what you want, I just don't believe it.

    2. Please don't take this the wrong way, 'cause we really like you two...but we just don't invest in companies run by couples...it's policy, you understand...

   3. Yeah, yeah, everybody knows that successful hi-tech companies have to "cross the chasm."  We expect that, and most of our portfolio companies have no idea of how to do it.  But you're special...you have to figure that out before we invest.

   4. We already have a mobile internet company in our portfolio.  They
don't make a phone, or a server, or anything else in the same general
field as you, but it's still a portfolio company and we can't afford to be funding the competition.

   5. We like you, but no one on your team has ever run a VC-backed version of your company before.  Come to think of it, I'm not sure there has ever been a VC-backed version of your company before.  How's your
business model work, again?

   6. There's no question about your ability to be able to deliver the technology - we know you can do that. Our concern is that you will be more focused on delivering value to your subscribers and forget that your real purpose is to make us rich.

   7. Know why the allies in WWII invaded North Africa?

   8. Ok, so I know you already have relationships with three mobile O/S vendors, a reputable handset vendor and an operator, otherwise I wouldn't be talking to you.  But don't you realize that no one in the industry is going to let you get away with this?

   9. You know, it took me a whole :30 minutes to go through your slide deck.  Now, I know all about innovation, and real innovation can be explained in :05 minutes.

  10. You know what? It pains me to say this, but I just don't get it.
